BJP demands resignation from Mamta Banerjee

Kolkata: BJP has slammed West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee for not containing the violence in the state and also demanded resignation from her on Monday.

BJP leader Rahul Sinha while talking to a new agency told ” Mamata Banerjee totally failed in West Bengal and the future of the state is in danger. A communal division is prevailing in the state and Mamata is responsible for it. She is pointing figures at BJP. She should resign if she can’t handle the situation”.

The union home minster Raj nath Singh assured safety and security to neighbouring state Sikhim amidst ongoing violence in West Bengal.

He took to Twitter informing people that he had a conversation with Sikhim CM Pawan Kumar Chamling and assured him safety and security of National Highway 10.

“Spoke to Sikkim Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kumar Chamling regarding the security situation in the state and areas neighboring West Bengal. I assured him that Centre will ensure the safety & security of NH 10 and do everything possible to save people of the state from any misery. I have asked the Home Secretary to coordinate with West Bengal administration and ensure the safety, security and smooth traffic on NH 10,” tweeted Singh.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), BSF forces that were deployed by the Centre were asked to leave by the West Bengal Government.

According to other sources, Centre has already sent 11 teams of security personnel to deal with the situation in Darjeeling where people are demanding a separate Gorkhaland.

West Bengal CM reacting to the statement said there was no cooperation from the Centre to control Violence in the state and that the Centre is responsible for creating tensions in the state.

She further added the forces were not deployed on time which led to further violence among people around the state border reported the sources.
