Blast in New building for patients’ attendants at NIMS soon

NIMS Director Manohar has said they were sparing no efforts to make the Hospital into a prestigious one across the nation.

 

Manohar laid foundation stone for the new building construction in a 540-yard plot at an estimated cost of Rs 1.40 crore opposite Panchayat Raj office at Erramanzil here on Sunday for patients’ attendants’ sake. For the construction, GHMC has come forward to construct ground and two floors. Cancer Ashray Trust came forward to construct three more floors. It will help the helpers of the dialysis and radiation patients.

According to NIMS officials, the building was being constructed to accommodate some 200 persons. In every floor, there would be 38 rooms and 18 bathrooms and 18 toilets. The toilets and bathrooms were being constructed separately for men and women. The NIMS officials informed that the maintenance of the building would be given to Rotary Club.  The officials were also contemplating to discuss with the GHMC to set up Rs 5 meal facility at the building.

Speaking on the occasion, Manohar said they were moving forward to complete the building by this Deepavali. He said the NIMS has 16 acre land in Erramanzil and preparing an action plan to construct Nephrology and Urology towers along with directors building, auditorium, quarters to doctors, resident doctors and staff. He said they were also taking steps to see that the patients have to leave the hospital with smiling faces to their homes. He revealed that they will bring all medical equipments and provide all facilities to serve
