Bojja Tarakam was people’s voice: KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today condoled the death of noted social activist, poet, writer and advocate Bojja Tarakam.

In a press release here on Saturday, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes to Bojja Tarakam, a multifaceted personality, who devoted his entire life for the cause of the poor and oppressed class and remained a voice of the poor. “Despite hailing from Andhra region, Bojja Tarakam extended total support to Telangana statehood by recognizing the very nature of the movement and offered legal help to him, KCR said.

The Chief Minister stated that works of Bojja Tarakam caused social change and created awareness among the people through Dalitulu-Rajyam, Panchatantram, Nela-Nagali Moodeddulu, Nadi Puttina Gonthuka. Tarakam’s death a heavy loss not only to his family members, but also to weaker sections, literary lovers and rights activists, he said. KCR extended sympathies to Hyderabad Collector Rahul Bojja, son of Bojja Tarakam and other family members. (NSS)
