A related notification has been issued to conduct the winter session of Assembly and Council on Dec 16 at 10 am and BAC to be held on 15 will decide on the number of days the house to be conducted. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is in national capital, is to return to Hyderabad and will chair the Cabinet. As the opposition is seemingly sharpening knives to raise the key issues of housing scheme, land to Dalits, welfare and demonetization impact the ruling party is planning a strategy to stifle their voice.

The Cabinet will focus on the main issues including flagship programs, bills to be introduced and mainly on demonetization impact and people facing related problems at banks and ATMs. The government is pushing for steps being taken for cashless transactions using swiping machines through debit, Rupay and other cards. The Assembly session is to be held for about 7 days to 10 days and a decision in this regard is to be taken in the Cabinet. The Cabinet will also take a decision to distribute clothes to poor Christians on Dec 18 as Christmas festival is falling on Dec 25. (NSS)
