Cardamom weakens on muted demand

In limited deals, prices of cardamom brown fell by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital today as demand eased from retailers and stockists at prevailing higher levels amid adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing regions.

Cardamom brown-Jhundiwali and Kanchicut prices declined by Rs 20 each to conclude at Rs 1,350-1,360 and Rs 1,400-1,800 per kg, respectively.

Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down cardamom prices.
