Case filed on Shah Rukh Khan for rioting, damaging property during Raees promotion

Yet another case filed on Shahrukh Khan for his last film Raees . This time a case has been filed by a vendor at the Kota station. The case was registered against the actor on Tuesday night by the Government Railway Police on the direction of a railway court for allegedly damaging property and rioting at Kota Railway Station while he promoted his film.

The vendor alleged that when Shah Rukh Khan traveled by August Kranti train from Mumbai to New Delhi, promoting Raees on January 23, 2017, ruckus was created by his fans. He said. “Khan did not deboard the train but waved at his fans from the door to the coach, and threw gifts and footballs at the waiting crowd. This caused a stampede-like situation at the platform and in the scuffle, his trolley overturned and items on it were damaged and he also got injured”.

The GRP superintendent of police Om Prakash said. “We have registered a case against Shah Rukh Khan and other members of the promotional team for rioting, causing unlawful assembly, affray and damage to public property.”

On the vendor’s complaint, the case was registered against King Khan under sections 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 160 (affray), 427 (mischief causing damage of more than 50 rupees), 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code, Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984; Sections 145 (interfering with amenity provided by the railway administration so as to affect the comfortable travel of any passenger) and 146 (obstructing or preventing any railway servant in the discharge of his duties).
