Caught cheating in SSC exam, boy jumps off 3rd floor

Hyderabad: A class X student jumped from the 3rd floor of the school building on Monday. He was allegedly caught copying by a flying squad during the ongoing SSC examination at a centre which falls under Kanchanbagh police station limits.

The student, Depa Saneeth Reddy, S/O Bhupal Reddy, of Bhashyam High School at Durga Bhavani Nagar in Santoshnagar, was writing the Hindi second language examination on Monday at Vidya Dayini Model High School at Champapet in Kanchanbagh, police said.

A flying squad caught him cheating and booked for malpractice. He was made to sit in school headmaster’s room. The invigilation team was considering about informing his parents or concerned school management, when the student suddenly started banging his head against the door. He was calmed down by the team. After some time he sought permission to go to washroom and jumped from the 3rd floor of the building. He was rushed to the hospital, where his condition is said to be out of danger.
