Centre appealed to allot additional budget to T for Minority Welfare Schemes

Deputy Chief Minister Telangana Mohammed Mahmood Ali appealed Central government to allot additional budget to Telangana for Minority Welfare Schemes, as Telangana government is on the top compared to other states with respect to Minority Welfare.

Addressing a conference of Minority Welfare and Secretaries Minority Welfare in New Delhi on Tuesday, Mohammed Mahmood Ali apprised Minority Welfare Minister Najma Heptulla about required additional funds. Union Minority Welfare Minister presided over the conference.

Deputy Chief Minister requested special funds to Telangana for schemes related to small businesses and scheme for skill development of minorities and told that there are several such skills and professions in Telangana which need special attention. He further said Bidri art, bangle making, karchob etc need encouragement. Centre will soon send a team of officers to Hyderabad which will decide for providing training in various skills. Monthly stipend will be given during the training.
