Centre Extending All Help To AP: Venkaiah

Guntur: Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu today said the Centre was extending all possible help to the residuary Andhra Pradesh State in the implementation of the Centre-sponsored welfare schemes.
Venkaiah Naidu has launched various developmental schemes worth Rs 450 crore along with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Speaking at a public meeting at Chilakaluripeta later, the Union minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was encouraging and implementing developmental programs in the country and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was following the footsteps of the Prime Minister in Andhra Pradesh.
Venkaiah Naidu said, “We have determined to realize our dream of Swacch Bharat by 2019. He called upon the people to participate in the program and keep their surroundings clean. The Prime Minister has taken steps to help the poor in opening accounts in the banks and over 20 crore people have opened banks account within six months, the Union minister said. He also said the Centre has sanctioned Rs 65 crore for laying of roads in Andhra Pradesh and sanctioned 1.93 lakh houses in the State. (NSS)
