Centre sanctions 37.71 Cr for Daeratul Ma’arif

Hyderabad: The Ministry of Minority Affairs reviewed the progress of the sanctioned project for restoring the glory of Daeratul Ma’arif. Secretary Minority Welfare convened a meeting in New Delhi in this connection. Secretary Minority Welfare Telangana Syed Omer Jaleel and Director Daeratul Ma’arif apprised them of the details of work completed under the new project.

It must be noted that centre has approved the project of 37.71 Cr for Daeratul Ma’arif under ‘Hamari Dharohar’ scheme under which digitalisation of the rare books and manuscripts and their translation will be done.

Since the beginning of the project Daeratul Ma’arif has completed translation of 25 books. According to Secretary Minority Welfare, Ministry of Minority Affairs has expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project and gave some suggestions.

Syed Omer Jaleel told that project is being implemented under the direct supervision of Minority Welfare Department and process of preserving all rare manuscript and books will be complete within the stipulated time.
