Cloudy Thursday sans rain in Delhi, Friday to be dry as well

New Delhi: The national capital saw a party cloudy sky with no rains on Thursday with the maximum temperature dipping three notches below the season’s average to 37.2 degrees Celsius. The weather office ruled out any possibility of rain on Friday.

“It will remain a mainly clear sky on Friday. The maximum and minimum temperatures of the day will hover around 39 and 24 degrees Celsius respectively,” an Indian Meteorological department official said.

Minimum temperature was recorded at 24.9 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average, the Met office said. The humidity recorded at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday was 40 per cent.

There was 11.8 mm rain on Wednesday, which recorded a maximum of 34.7 degrees Celsius, six notches below the season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the average.
