Conduct CBI inquiry on Miyapur land scam: CPI

CPI Secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy today demanded that the government order a CBI inquiry into the infamous Miyapur land scam that ran into crores. In a press statement, the CPI leader suspected that big heads of the government, institutions are behind the episode of illegal registration of 687 acres of land. Evidence of the land scam seems to be coming out and some with influence dared to use fake documents to transfer illegally the lands worth about Rs 10000 cr to Rs 15000 cr.

The CPI leader took exception to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mahamood Ali for not responding on the issue so far. Though the TRS leadership used to protest many times in the combined AP that Andhra and Rayalaseema leaders are looting the lands in and around Hyderabad is now keeping quite after it took the reins in three years he said. A CPI delegation which met the land scam area in Miyapur has sought that the CBI inquiry will unravel the facts behind the murky episode of land scam. We will intensify protests for mounting pressure on the government in this regard, he warned. (NSS)
