Congress leader dares minister, MLA to quit and seek re-election

Nalgonda: Congress senior leader and former MLA from Nakrekal Ch. Lingaiah had demanded that district minister G Jagadish Reddy and Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham resign from their posts and seek re-election.
Lingaiah slammed Minister Jagadish Reddy and Vemula Veeresham for creating unhealthy political environment in the district by encouraging goons and involving in land grabbing cases, illegal sand mining, attacks on other party leaders, especially Congress party leaders.
Speaking to the media here on Monday at the residence of Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Lingaiah said Komatireddy Venkat Reddy proved his invincibility by getting elected to the Assembly for four times and also playing a lead role in the victory of his brother Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy in the local body MLC election. Stating that Kommatireddy Brothers have won the hearts of the people through their selfless services and commitment, Lingaiah said the TRS leaders have no moral right to criticize Komatireddy brothers, who played key roles in the Telangana agitation. He also raised objection to creating hurdles in sanctioning of funds to Brahmanavellemla lift irrigation scheme which is the brain child of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and designed to cater to irrigation needs of farmers, who are cultivating lands through borewells.
Nalgonda Municipal chairperson B. Lakshmi asked TRS leaders to give answers on Chief Minister KCR’s promises made on the eve of elections before criticizing MLA Komatireddy. Nalgonda MPP Daida Rajitha Venkat Reddy, ZPTC Thummala Radha Lingaswamy, councilors Mandadi Srinivas Reddy, Julakanti Dhanalakshmi, Kesani Kavitha, Mudireddy Kalavathi, Boddupally Srinivas, V.
