New Delhi: The Congress party will raise the Raipur Church attack issue and the Ishrat Jahan case in the Lok Sabha today.
Former home secretary G.K. Pillai had earlier alleged that former home minister P. Chidambaram ‘bypassed him’ and rewrote an affidavit submitted to a court on Ishrat Jahan, the 19-year-old student killed in an encounter in 2004.
Chidambaram responded, saying that the revised affidavit was absolutely correct, adding he accepts full responsibility for the affidavit as a minister.
Meanwhile, ten people have been arrested so far in connection with the attack on a church in Khamardih area of Chhattisgarh’s Raipur city on Sunday. (ANI)
