Controversy over girl’s name, Human Rights Organisation of Georgia files case against TS Govt.

Hyderabad: Human Rights Organisation of Georgia State of US has filed a case against Telangana government requesting it to stop intervening into the personal lives of citizens.

A couple of Georgia has decided to name their 22 month old daughter, Zulekha Graceful Laraine Allah but the state government objected on the inclusion of name ‘Allah’ and said the last name of the girl should be after her father or mother. Hence it refused to issue birth certificate.

American Civil Liberties Union intervened into the matter and decided to move to court against administration’s decision. Executive Director American Civil Liberties Union, Andrea Young said that state government or administration has not right to interfere into naming of a child.
