Cool showers shoot down temperatures, bring winters back in national capital

New Delhi :February 18 turned out to be a rainy day after showers hit the capital early morning lowering down the temperatures to 15 degree celcius.

It was cloudy and sunny in patches in the national capital on Wednesday with the maximum temperature settling at 25.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season’s average.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 10.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, said a MeT department official.
There was shallow haze in the early morning hours although visibility remained way above normal at 2,000 metres at 5.30 AM and 8.30 AM respectively.

The humidity in the air oscillated between 90 and 42 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted partly overcast conditions along with light rain tomorrow.

“The skies will be partly cloudy. Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur towards forenoon. Mist or haze may occur in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 25 and 12 degrees respectively,” the official said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled at 9.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average.
