Corporates should help Indiwood Film Carnival: Talasani

Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that “Indiwood Film Carnival will be conducted in a grand manner from Sept 24 to 27. The Minister held a review meeting at his Secretariat chambers with noted film personalities such as Tammareddy Bharadwaja, C Kalyan, Dil Raju, N Shankar, Producers Council president Rammohan Rao, Film Development Corporation joint managing director LL Kishore Babu. The minister discussed on the arrangements for the international event at Ramoji Film City.

Srinivas Yadav asked the companies to have some corporate social responsibility to make the international film festival a success. He maintained that about 2000 delegates representing 75 nations will attend the event and 200 stalls will be set up. The State Government is making efforts for promotion and production of more number of films and strengthen the film development corporation he said. Single window permissions, online ticketing and exhibition of fifth show in theatres are some of the steps taken towards film development he claimed. We are planning to setup a new film institute and officials identified places near RFC and Koheda village the minister said. A final call in this regard will be taken he added. (NSS)
