Corruption increased by 10 times under TRS govt: Palvai

Congress Rajya Sabha member Palvai Goverdhan Reddy has lashed out at the TRS government for changing the name of Pranahitha-Chevella project into Kaleswaram Project in the name of redesigning and enhancing the estimation cost by thousands of crores of rupees.
Speaking at the Assembly media point here on Monday, Palvai alleged that without inviting new tenders, enhancing old tenders’ cost from 50 percent to 80 percent shows clear corruption. He alleged that corruption increased under TRS government by 10 times when compared with late YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s regime. The TRS government assigned the works again to the same contractors, who failed to complete the works on time. The TRS government was only chanting ‘redesigning’ mantra and neglecting pending projects.
He also asserted that the TRS had won the GHMC elections by tampering with the EVMs and asked the government as to why it didn’t conduct Khammam and Warangal Corporations elections along with GHMC elections. “TRS would win even Khammam and Warangal Corporation elections with irregularities. That doesn’t mean the TRS has support of people”, he opined. (NSS)
