CPI condemns TRS criticism on Kodandaram

CPI National Secretary Dr. K. Narayana has strongly condemned the TRS leaders for targeting Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram.

Speaking to media persons in New Delhi today, Narayana said that the TRS leaders should have taken Kodandaram’s criticism positively and must have taken corrective steps to undo the errors. However, instead of realising the mistakes and correcting, the TRS leaders launched a full-fledged attack on Kodandaram.

Narayana said that Kodandaram’s role was praised by all during the Telangana movement and even Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao used him during the statehood movement. However, now Kodandaram was being targeted just because he pointed some mistakes in the functioning of State Government.

The CPI leader alleged that the Chief Ministers of both Telugu States were misleading the people. He said while KCR has failed to get special package for Telangana, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has failed to get special status for Andhra Pradesh. He also slammed cine star and Jana Sena Party chief Pavan Kalyan for his silence over Kapu Reservation movement launched by M. Padmanabham. He said Pavan Kalyan should have supported Padmanabham. (INN)
