CPI faults Ministers’ ire against Kodandaram

CPI general secretary and former MP Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy today condemned the comments made by some ministers against TJAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram.

Addressing mediapersons along with Telangana CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy at Makhdoom Bhavan here on Wednesday, Sudhakar Reddy expressed displeasure at the TRS leadership for its persistent attack on the professor, who was waging a fight for the cause of the people. Questioning the existence of the TRS after achieving the statehood for Telangana, Suravaram said one cannot reply on such queries. “We cannot say anything on this”, he said, adding that the ministers should clarify patiently to the issues being raised by anyone in the democratic process. “May it be Prof. Kodandaram, any other party or people’s organization, which can wage protests and make demands on the issues, he said. The Ministers, instead should explain on the questions being sought by the professor, the CPI leader said. He also found fault with the ruling party for its “venomous” reply against the Professor and said that the ministers are indulging in criticism on the former as they cannot respond. (NSS)
