Doing a favour to the neighbour put youth in jail

(Siasat News): Sometimes doing a favour to our neighbours prove costly as what happened to one Habeeb Mohammed, resident of Chandrayangutta is the evidence of this.

He was flying to Dubai and when his neighbours came to know about it, they handed him over a packet containing banned medicines to be delivered to their relatives.

During the custom check at Dubai airport Habeeb was arrested as he was found in possession of the banned medicines and was sent to jail.

He had succeeded in getting a job in a transport firm but fate had something otherwise. In order to favour his neighbours, he found himself behind the bars.

In the meantime, Chandrayangutta police said that they had received the complaint but they have yet to contact Dubai’s investigation agencies.

Major fire gutted goods worth lakhs

(Siasat News): A major fire broke out in a plastic godown at Hassan Nagar near Bahadurpura where the material worth lakhs of rupees gutted and turned to ashes.

The godown caught fire late last night and the entire area was engulfed by smoke. The people of the locality immediately informed the police and later four fire engines belonged to Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy reached the spot.

The fire fighters struggled a lot and used more than 20 water tankers and extinguished the fire in the early hours. In the meantime, curious onlookers gathered near the spot and police had the tough time to disperse the crowd.

Bahadurpura police with the help of fire fighters shifted some gas cylinders to the safe places and this is how a major disaster was averted.

The clues team of the city police is also there at the spot. The owner of the godown Bilal Ahmed had lodged a complaint in Bahadurpura police station.

Sub-inspector Bahadurpura Mr. Venkata Shiva Rao said that the goods worth Rs. 10 lakh gutted in the fire.
