Defections: YSRCP MLAs meet Jagan, express faith in leadership

Against the backdrop of six of its MLAs crossing over to the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh this month, the opposition YSR Congress today said the party MLAs from all districts met its chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at his residence here today and expressed loyalty.

“…Some of the weaklings from our party must have left the Party, but we have full faith in the leadership of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and will adhere to his value-based politics,” said YSR Congress MLAs, including Kakni Govardhan Reddy, K Sridhar Reddy, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, Narayanaswamy and G Eswari.

“It is the manipulative politics of (TDP president and Chief Minister) Chandrababu Naidu that has been in full play and with his sustained two-year efforts by pressing all the tricks of the trade to lure members from the opposition, had yielded very little results…,” they said.
