Delhi Court issues NBW against VVIP helicopter scam accused

New Delhi: The Patiala House Court on Friday issued an open non-bailable warrant against London-based consultant Christian Michel James, who is an accused in Rs. 3600 crore VVIP helicopter ‘scam’ case.

The court allowed contentions of Enforcement Directorate (ED), which said that James was needed to be quizzed to know the amount he had received as commission in the entire deal.

According to reports, James is one of the main accused in the helicopter ‘scam’ case as he allegedly served as a key link between political parties and players in Italy as well as in India.

He has been absconding for nearly 2 years in spite of repeated reminders by the agencies and has failed to show up in Court or represent himself.

On September 24, the court had issued an open NBW against James on an application by CBI which is also running a parallel probe in the matter.
