Eamcet -3 schedule may be announced today

In the wake of Eamcet-2 leakage creating a furore across the State, the government is planning to release Eamcet-III schedule on Tuesday. As the High Court will hear a case seeking cancellation of Eamcet-2 on August 2, the government is expected to take a decision based on its verdict.

Annoyed by students with top ranks and their parents staging protests, the government preferred to set the Eamcet-2 aside though not officially announced. Since Monday being holiday, it is likely that the government will release the schedule for Eamcet-3 on August 2 as it could not do so on August 1. It may be mentioned here that the State government has seized the matter and arrested those involved in the leakage scam.

Keeping Medical Council of India guidelines in view, the State government is supposed to complete the entire process of conducting examinations and admission process to begin classes by September 30. Based on this, the government is understood to have prepared a plan to conduct another round of examination for Medicine stream in the last week of August. The officials were asked to announce the results and ranks in September first week. It is learnt that the TRS government wants to wind up the Eamcet-2 case by conducting the Eamcet-3 at the earliest and simultaneously take stringent measures against the scamsters. (NSS)
