Eight injured as storm disrupts Khattar’s rally

Ambala: Eight persons, including seven BJP workers, were injured when a storm disrupted a rally of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here this evening.

The curtain of the stage collapsed and hoardings fell. The electric and public address system were also damaged in the storm in which seven BJP workers and Municipal Councillor Harish Sharma were injured, police said.

The Chief Minister could only address the rally for 10 minutes while four state ministers O P Dhankar, Anil Vij, Naib Saini and Krishan Pawar could not address the gathering.

Local MLA Assem Goyal visited the injured in the hospital.
