Elected leaders should be treated only in Govt. hospitals, says Kodandaram

Hyderabad: M. Kondandaram, Telangana JAC chairman appealed to the State that the representatives who got elected is mandatory for them to take treatment in the health institutions and Government hospitals.

According to the Hindu, Kondandaram said, “This would auger well for government hospitals,” in a seminar of status of healthcare in Telangana here. He advised several suggestions to the government in improving the healthcare, along with the health experts and others medical educationalists in state.

He asked the government to raise the expenditure for healthcare, “Healthcare has to be made accessible to the poor. The State should focus on improving its health infrastructure and not that of corporate.”

The State Government failed to reduce the spread of dengue to which Mr. Kondandaram had a filed a petition with the State Human Rights Commission. On Sunday he advised to review the Aarogyasri, the state’s flagship health scheme, to bring it more under the coverage.
