Fortress Check at Lingampalli Railway Station

As many 133 cases were booked during a fortress check against ticketless and irregular travel at Lingampalli Railway Station conducted by the Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted.

The check was conducted on Wednesday under the direct supervision of B Vijay Bhaskar, Chief Commercial Manager, C&PS and K Brahmananda Reddy, FA&CAO/Traffic, South Central Railway.

A total of 17 Ticket checking staff along with 15 Railway Protection Force personnel carried out the drive. During the fortress check, all the exit points at Lingampalli Railway station were plugged to prevent ticketless travellers escaping from the check. 10 Express trains, 10 Passenger trains and 40 MMTS and Local trains were checked.

A total of 133 cases, comprising of 116 cases travelling without ticket 17 cases of un-booked luggage were booked. An amount of Rs. 33,430/- was realised towards penalty from these persons. (INN)
