Four held for forging & selling educational certificates

Hyderabad: Sleuths of Commissioner’s Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri Zone on Tuesday arrested four persons, who were preparing fake educational certificates of Degree, Masters Degree, Open College Degree, Provisional, Migration and Convocation of Ambedkar Open University, SKD University and Shobhit and selling them for huge sums. They were operating the shady business from H.No. 4-41, West Gandhi Nagar, Nagaram, Keesara, Ranga Reddy districe. The police also seized 40 fake certificates, seven Cell phones and net cash Rs 30,750 from their possession.
The accused were identified as Konneboyina Ramulu, 29, Lecturer, residing at Tilaknagar, Amberpet, Koppula Prashanth, 34, of Sathi Reddy Nagar Colony, Malkajgiri, Dasyam Nagaraju, 35, of Devanpally of Kamareddy mandal in Nizamabad district, Talari Krishna Mohan, 38, of Class IV Employees’ Colony, Kurnool. Their accomplices M. Vamshi Krishna, 27, College Lecturer, Aruptha Nathan Xavier ALIAS Amul Raj of Guntakal, Anantapur district and Manoj Kumar alias of Chetnapally village, Goothy mandal of Anantapur district were absconding.
The accused lured the students and collected Rs 5 lakh from a large number of students and cheated them by providing fake degree certificates. The accused along with seized property were handed over to SHO, Keesara PS.
The arrests were made under the direct supervision of C.V. Anand, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, E. Ramchandra Reddy, Addl DCP, SOT Cyberabad by Inspectors N.Ch. Ranga Swamy and Guruva Reddy and others. (NSS)
