Four officials of Home Ministry suspended for giving license Zakir Naik’s NGOs

Mumbai: Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India suspended four of its officials for allegedly committing irregularities in issuing licenses to Islamic Research Foundation of Dr. Zakir Naik. They played key in renewing the licenses of this organization.

 

Security agencies decided to investigate the controversial speeches of Dr. Zakir Naik. It is alleged that he is promoting terrorism. Zakir Naik came under the scanner when Bangladeshi newspaper “Daily Star” when it reported that a terrorist Imityaz was influenced by Zakir Naik speeches. It is alleged that peace TV which is an international Islamic channel had incited Muslim to become terrorists.

 

It may be mentioned that Dr. Zakir Naik is a controversial Islamic preacher. He belongs to Mumbai and he is the founder of Islamic Research Foundation. UK and Canada have already imposed a ban on his speeches. In Malaysia, he is one of the 16 Islamic preachers on whom ban has been imposed.
