Re-poll for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Council in all 36 polling booths of Puranapul ward no. 52 has been announced. The re-polling will be held on 5th Feb from 7 AM to 5 PM.
Earlier, the Congress leaders alleged that the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen resorted to rigging with the support of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government and police. They demanded repoll in Puranapul division.
Tension was prevailed on Tuesday at Mirchowk area in the old city of Hyderabad following the attack by Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) workers led by it Chief on Congress workers during the elections.
