Fund in power, irrigation projects; KCR urges Shanghai Bank

Telangana Chief Minster K Chandrasekhar Rao today urged the New Development Bank of Shanghai in China to invest in irrigation and power projects using waste and urban development projects in the State.

During his 40-minute interaction with the Bank’s President K V Kamath and Vice President Xian Zhu at Shanghai, the Chief Minister sought their cooperation for rapid development of the State in terms of infrastructure, industries, projects and companies. The New Development Bank is focusing on providing funds to developing nations on infrastructural development.

To KCR’s appeal, the Bank officials positively responded, according to a release from the Chief Minister’s Office. Before the bank meeting, the Chief Minster and his delegation traveled in Maglev High Speed Train which moves at 300 kmph from Airport to City.

Earlier in the day, the KCR team reached Shanghai from Dalian after attending World Economic Forum conference. He will interact with industrialists on “Investment opportunities in Telangana”. (NSS)
