Funds to gram panchayats: TPJAC Chief’s poser to KCR

Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof.  M. Kodandaram today asked the TRS government as to why Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao failed to fulfill the assurances made by him during the Assembly elections that he would allocate 40 percent funds to the village panchayats in the State budget similar to Kerala State.

Speaking to the media at Kohir in Sangareddy district on Sunday, Prof. Kodandaram demanded that the State government allocate funds to the gram panchayats as per the 73rd and 74th Constitutional amendments. He also suggested that the State government to concede his demand. (NSS)
