GHMC Commissioner and Election Authority Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy appealed to all voters to cast their vote in GHMC elections on 2nd February to strengthen the democratic system.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy made the appeal after participating in voter awareness and blood donation camp organized by Let’s Vote Organization at KBR Park here on Sunday. He also donated blood at the blood donation camp. He said traditionally Hyderabad registers low polling percentage and many people including intellectuals and literates does not participate in the voting. He said that the GHMC was striving hard to involve all students from various educational institutions, Residential Welfare Associations and NGO’s to increase the poll percentage.

The Election Authority informed that so far 30% of the voter slips have been distributed and 100% distribution would be completed by 31st January. About 5 lakh Sankalp Patram pamphlets were also distributed to the students to inspire their parents and family members to cast their vote in GHMC Elections.

The voters can use the TSEC web site to know about their Voter’s slip, Ward No, Polling Stations and other details. (INN)
