Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC has made surprise inspections in circle 18, Secunderabad division, in the early hours today.
The commissioner had inspected the sanitation works which are taken up, and interacted with the sanitation worker and enquired whether they are receiving the conservancy articles like brooms and wheel barrows regularly in time.
He observed the debris which has been dumped near Vasanth towers, and directed the AMOH to impose a penalty of Rs.10000/- on the owner. He further directed the officials of the GHMC to take up necessary action against the people who dumped debris and other garbage waste material on the roads
Later he has visited Airlines quarters and observed that there are no dumping bins and lot of debris is accumulated there. He has directed the concerned Executive Engineer to ensure removal of the debris, covering it with cement layer and maintaining it as footpath.(NSS)
