GHMC elections were peaceful: Dr. Janardhan Reddy

GHMC Commissioner  & Election Authority Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has cast his vote in the morning hours at Chinmaya School situated at Kundan Bagh along with the family members.

Right from morning 7AM the Election Authority, personally monitored the election process duly interacting with various officials and also screened the webcasting process in various polling stations which has been arranged at the control room in GHMC Head Office.

The Election Authority has also seen the webcasting process in most sensitive and hyper sensitive polling stations. The webcasting has been provided in 3,000 polling stations and around 2,800 polling centres the webcasting have been taken up without any problems. Out of 7,802 polling stations only nine polling stations were identified where minor problems with EVMs were reported and within minutes the EVMs were also replaced.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy said that minor incidents took place at Asif Nagar, Shalibanda, Shasthripuram, Langar House etc.,  where the situations was brought under control duly coordinating with the police officials. (INN)
