Going astray from religion kills Sameera by her lover

Hyderabad: In an exemplary incident of going astray from religion killed a Muslim woman by her Hindu lover. In Suryapet Mandal of Nalgonda, a case has come to limelight wherein a Muslim woman who had gone astray from her religion was killed by her Hindu lover in a brutal manner.

According to the details of the case, Sameera Begum (30), a resident of Yelandu, Bhadradri Kothagudem district was staying with her maternal grandmother. Her grandmother arranged her marriage with a Muslim youth but Sameera Begum had an affair with Srinu, on account of which she sought the divorce from her husband and started living with Srinu.

For the past few days, Sameera and Srinu were quarreling with each other. Sameera lodged a complaint with DSP saying that she does not want to live with Srinu. DSP Suneetha Mohan called Srinu and admonished him not to tease Sameera. When Sameera was vacating the house at 3 p.m. yesterday, Srinu attacked her with a sharp weapon on her throat and killed her.

DSP Suneetha Mohan, Town Inspector, Mugulaiah, SI Kranti and SI Abdul Basith visited the spot and shifted the dead body to an area hospital.

Police registered a murder case and started search operation for the culprit who is absconding.
