Govt. to fill up seats in all the medical colleges as per NEET merit

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has decided to fill up seats in all the medical colleges during the academic year 2017-18 according to merit list of NEET.

So far, medical seats of A category used to be filled up through convener and B category seats were reserved for Management and C category seats for NRI quota. Now, as per the Supreme Court orders, Govt. will fill up all the seats including the seats in private and minority medical colleges through NEET.

As per the existing rules, the fee in Govt. medical colleges under convener quota is Rs. 10000 per annum whereas under Management quota Rs. 11 lakh per annum is collected. Under NRI quota, the annual fee is Rs. 22 lakh.

Online application for admissions will be accepted from 8th July. Govt. notification is likely to be released on 7th July. Applications will be accepted up to 10 days.
