Hyderabad: Member of Central Wakf Council and NCPUL, Ms. S. Munawari Begum told that Govt. of India is serious about protecting Wakf properties. A national level conference is being held in New Delhi on 30th March for the protection of Wakf properties with an objective of taking concrete steps in this regard.
She was addressing a meeting at Jamiat-ul-Mominat, Moghalpura, Hyderabad. She further told that the representation of Andhra and Telangana States in Central Wakf Council is very less. It would be compensated very soon. She also told that she would make a representation about the protection of Wakf properties in Telangana. Maulana Hamid Husain Shuttari gave the details of the destruction of Wakf properties in Telangana and impressed the need for the recruitment of honest officers in Wakf Board.
Mr. Mohammed Haneef Ali, Chairman of Minorities Cell of BJP demanded the Central Govt. to investigate the destruction of Wakf properties through CBI. Present on this occasion were Maulana Syed Tariq Qadri, Mr. Farooq Ali Khan, Advocates and others. Mufti Hasanuddin offered prayer at the end of the meeting.
