Grand Mosque imam stresses support for Muslims everywhere

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia supports Muslims in the spirit of tolerance among people all over the world, according to Grand Mosque Imam Dr. Mahir bin Hamad Al-Muaiqli.
Dr. Al-Muaiqli said this on Sunday as he attended the celebration of the 45th founding anniversary of Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College in Hong Kong.
He said that under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Kingdom observes tolerance with the benefit of everybody in mind.
He added that “it’s also an honor for me to be with you on this occasion to mark a milestone in the history of this college which is a veritable center of learning.”
Al-Miaiqli also noted the high standard of teaching at the college that aims to provide a holistic education to individuals that ensures love of peace and kindness to mankind.
He added that the world would be a better place to live in if all people all over the world are bound with love, respect and brotherhood regardless of religion.
On the occasion, the objective in establishing the college was discussed, which is to serve as a center of learning.
The celebration was attended by Arab and Islamic country diplomats, representatives of diplomatic and government agencies in Hong Kong, students and their parents, and other invited guests.
Organizers of the celebration, including officials and faculty members of the college, expressed happiness that Dr. Muaiqli could attend the 45th anniversary celebration of the college.
They also presented him with a symbolic gift as token of appreciation for attending the event and the Grand Mosque Imam expressed his deep gratitude.
“This gift will be treasured, coming as it does from the Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College in Hong Kong,” he said.
