Gutha joining TRS to bag contracts: VHR

Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao has accused Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy of deceiving the Congress party only to bag contracts worth over Rs. 500 crore from the TRS Government.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Monday, VHR said Gutha has not only deceived Congress party, but also broke the trust of fomer Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy who ensured party ticket for him for two terms. He pointed out that it was Gutha who found fault with the appointment of Advisors and Parliamentary Secretaries by the TRS Government and even approached the High Court. He said very recently, Gutha had written a letter to HUDCO suspecting huge scam in 2BHK housing scheme and also accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and his family of large scale corruption in Mission Bhagaritha works.

VHR said it was strange that all of a sudden Gutha discovered that KCR would be achieving ‘Bangaru (Golden) Telangana’.  He said Gutha had compared legislators who defected to TRS as “prostitutes”. He asked what Gutha would be called now.

He also slammed G. Vivek and G. Vinod and said they have spoiled the name of former union minister and their father G. Venkataswamy. He said that the Venkataswamy’s family earned wealth, fame and a good reputation due to the Congress party. However, Vivek and Vinod had spoiled it by joining the TRS. He alleged that they joined the TRS only to settle a land deal adjacent to Park Hyatt hotel at Banjara Hills. (INN)
