Hyderabad: Central Hajj Committee has announced the schedule for Hajj season of 2016. According to a press note issued by the committee, applications would be received from 14th January, 2016. The last date of submission of applications is 8th February, 2016. Draw in various states would be taken from 15th to 23rd March 2016.
Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Special Officer of Telangana Hajj Committee told that he spoke to CEO of Central Hajj Committee, Mr. Ataur Rahman in detail. He informed Prof. Shukoor that Central Hajj Committee has decided not to supply suitcases this year. Last year, suitcases were supplied but Hajj pilgrims made many complaints.
Prof. Shukoor also told that last year Hajj pilgrims’ quota was fixed on the basis of 2001 census but this time it will be on the basis of 2011 census. It is likely that the Hajj pilgrims of A.P. and Telangana will get more seats this time.
