Harish resents BJP Chief’s outbursts

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today slammed BJP National President Amith Shah for his remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not celebrating Telangana Liberation Day on September 17.
Addressing the media here today, Harish Rao accused the Centre of showing partisan attitude towards Telangana while extending all help to Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation of the united State. The minister alleged that the Centre was reluctant to resolve the State issues like bifurcation of High Court, national status to Kaleshwarm, irrigation projects and giving special package. “Shah must answer to the people of the State as to why the BJP government at the Centre was not able to resolve the issues like division of the High Court and giving national status to Kaleshwaram, he said.
On the lines of giving package to the AP, the Centre should extend a financial package for Telangana State and Shah should react on this. He made light of Shah’s remarks that the BJP will come to power in Telangana. The State BJP leadership should exert pressure on the Centre to ensure that the State issues are resolved, he added. (NSS)
