Harsimrat Badal demands ban on Mann’s entry in Parliament

New Delhi: Demanding a thorough investigation against Bhagwant Mann for recording and uploading a video showing security spots of the Parliament, Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday said that the AAP MP should not be allowed inside the Parliament until the probe is complete.
Harsimrat said this matter should not be treated lackadaisically, adding this insensitive act of the AAP leader has put many lives on stake.

“We have had so many parliamentarians in the past 65 years, but none did anything like this. And I believe the way he is showing the clip in his mobile and is saying that he will do it again, he must not be allowed inside the Parliament till the matter is fully investigated,” said Harsimrat.

” Bhagwant Mann recorded the security arrangements of the Parliament and by doing this he has put the lives of not only the parliamentarians in danger, but also the lives of important personalities like the Prime Minister and President besides the media and people working in the Parliament on stake,” she added.

Harsimrat further asserted that the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks was a result of few recordings done by terrorist David Coleman Headley, who captured a few videos of the Taj and the Gateway of India, adding the infamous act was carried out on the basis of the same.

“We still haven’t forgotten what all David Headley did and what impact it had in Mumbai. Headley did some recording at the Taj hotel and at the Gateway of India and the result was disastrous, which we have not been able to forget till date,” she said.

“What happened was breach of security, we cannot let this go casually. He is a comedian, but this doesn’t mean it is funny. If any mishappening takes place then who will be held responsible. Can we take this issue lightly?” she added.

The Union Minister further unleashed an attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and sought an answer for the wrong committed by his party inmate.

“Kejriwal ji must answer that what kind of people is he sending to the Parliament who have no respect for the Code of Conduct,” she said.

“The AAP is full of such people; one of its leaders has been named in the incident where sacrilege of the holy Quran was done to brew communal tension. Moving on, the AAP supremo compares Delhi with Pakistan,” she added.

The AAP MP yesterday posted a video of Parliament’s security positions and details on the social media.

Mann, however, clarified his act after severe criticism from the opposition parties.

“My only intention was to tell the procedure (during the Zero Hour). I have done nothing to risk the security of the Parliament,” he said. (ANI)
