Hoist Pink flag on GHMC: KTR

Reacting on the civic poll percentage of 45 which is lower than they have expected and related incidents of MIM attacking on TRS and scuffle between the ruling party, MIM and the Congress, IT Minster KT Rama Rao and D Srinivas today said that the TRS will emerge victorious and hoist the pink flag on the GHMC.

At a press conference they expressed displeasure at the low polling percentage and attributed it to people who remained indoors despite a holiday. KTR said that the polling percentage will have crossed 50 per cent if the people did not skip the voting process. Some people might have enjoyed it a jolly-day instead of participating in the civic poll process he observed. It is not right to stay home when the voting was on he felt. Exit poll surveys are in the favour of the TRS and we will win he exuded confidence. Condemning the MIM attack on deputy chief minister Mahamood Ali’s residence and the scuffle between TRS, MIM and Congress he said that cases were filed on those involved and law will take its action. KTR said that the TRS could have got better majority if the polling percentage was more. However, we will get necessary seats between 75 and 85 to emerge victorious he said. Though we could not find fault with anyone he said. As the surveys disclose it that we will win about 75 to 85 votes they said. Extending thanks to the leaders and activists of the party for their efforts, he said that the election commission will take action on re-polling if necessary. (NSS)
