è Firstly, place the chopped semisweet chocolate in a large bowl and set aside.
è Take a thick bottomed sauce pan and set the heavy cream over medium heat till it reaches a moderate boiling point, showing bubbles (do not let it fully melt).
è Immediately pour the boiling cream over the chocolate and keep it stable for a minute.
è Now with a spatula or a wooden spoon stir the mixture well until smooth.
è At this stage you can add any flavors like orange zest, mint extract or any extract that may impress your loved ones.
è Cover and place the bowl in a refrigerator for about 2-3 hours or until the truffle mixture is firm.
After couple of hours, take the truffle mixture out from the refrigerator. Pull adequate quantity of mixture into hands to roll the mixture in to small/medium sized balls. Once done, place the rolled truffles in the refrigerator to get firm. After few minutes, roll the truffle balls in a cocoa powder or desiccated coconut or top them with your favorite nuts.
Now surprise your family, friends and especially kids with these delicious homemade Chocolate Truffles.
