Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr C Lakshma Reddy today released the results of Eamcet-2 at Secretariat here. At a press meet along with Eamcet Convenor Ramana Rao and other officials, the minister announced the ranks of top 10 rankers who include four girls and six boys.
They are – R Ujwal of Hyderabad cracked the exam with first rank while K Ishwarya of Medak district got second rank. Similarly Sai Sushrutha of Kurnool got third rank, Venu Madhav and Ankith Reddy of Hyderabad got 4th and 5th ranks, Pranavi of Atchampet from Mahabubnagar district got 6th rank, Tejaswini of Ananthapuram got 7th rank, Sidharth and Vineeth Reddy of Hyderabad got 8th and 9th ranks and Krishna Geeth from Khammam got 10th rank.
The counseling for admissions will begin in August first week the minister said. There are 1780 seats in Convenor quota. Students can find OMR Answer Sheets on http://med.tseamcet.in will be available from July 16 to 19 by 5 pm. Candidates wishing to submit representation about any discrepancy in the evaluation of the OMR sheets have to pay R 5000 and those of SC, ST have to pay Rs 2000.
The Minister said that 25 per cent of weightage for Intermediate Marks is given for the students appeared for the examinations. Out of 50,961 students appeared 48,205 students qualified and 47,644 were awarded ranks he said.(NSS)
