Hyderabad: 3-year-old boy slides down from escalator in Big Bazaar

Hyderabad: In a heartbreaking incident at Big Bazaar, Kachiguda, a 3-year-old boy who was playing on a toy scooter slid off the escalator and fell down. He received injuries.

According to the news published in DC, after the incident which took place on Tuesday, Abhiram was rushed to hospital at Lakdikapul. His condition is now stable.

The CCTV of Big Bazaar shows that at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, the boy was playing with a toy scooter on the second floor. He accidentally reached the escalator and slid down.

Later, the parents reached the Sultan Bazaar Police Station to lodge a complaint.

According to the police, it reached the spot and after viewing the video footage came to a conclusion that the incident took place due to negligence of the parents.

Meanwhile, the management of the mall blamed the parents. E. Durga Prasad, Security Operations Manager said that after parents purchased a toy scooter for the child, they asked him to sit on it. However, when they moved to electronic goods section, he accidentally slid down the escalator.

Talking on the incident, Balala Hakkula Sangham, a City based NGO blamed the management of the mall for negligence.
