HYDERABAD: A 20-year-old degree student committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling at her residence, after an SPF constable duped her on pretext of love and marriage. The incident took place in Ibrahimpatnam police limits on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Sarada, 20, a second year BA student of Koti Women’s College and resident of Ibrahimpatnam.
Police said the victim fell in love with one SPF constable Rajesh, native of Suryapet. The victim’s brother is friend of Rajesh and used to visit victim’s house to meet her brother, and developed relationship with Sarada.
However, Rajesh was transferred to Tirupati recently.At the time of leaving, he informed the victim that he would not get married to her.
On Tuesday night, the victim had heated argument with Rajesh over mobile phone on the issue.Depressed over the incident, she took the extreme step when she was alone at her home.
