Hyderabad Jewel thief on the run, caught in WB

Hyderabad: Jewellery maker who stolen Rs 25 Lakh worth gold from his employer in December 2014 has been arrested by Banjara Hills Police.

Balram Samanta (30) of West Bengal, the accused used to work at Meenakshi Jewellers on Road Number 12, Banjara hills.

According to the news published in The Times of India, Balram stole Rs 25 Lakh worth gold ornaments which was given to him by his employer and run away from the city. Balram’s employer lodged a complaint and a case was filed but they were unable to trace him till recently.

Cops got clues about the whereabouts of Balram in West Bengal few week ago. He was arrested in the Hoogly in West Bengal few days ago and was brought to the city on a police transit warrant and remanded on Sunday.
