Hyderabad: A couple sold their daughter for Rs. 10, 000 when they faced difficulties in bringing up two daughters. They sold their daughter who is two-month old to an unidentified couple in Dundigal.
According to the news published in DC, news of the couple selling their second daughter spread and officials of the Integrated Child Development Services came into action.
When the officials of ICDS questioned Nayak, father of the girl, he said that he had given their daughter in adoption to a relative.
However, upon further investigation by ICDS officials, it was found that Nayak sold her daughter. ICDS officials lodged a complaint with the police.
